Federal communications commission approves nextwave merger with at&t
San diego--(business wire)--nextwave wireless inc. (otcqb: wave) (the “company” or “nextwave”) today announced that the federal communications commission (the “fcc”) has approved the transfer of control of the nextwave entities holding wireless communications service (“wcs”) and advanced wireless services (“aws”) spectrum licenses to at&t inc. this approval represents the last remaining regulatory approval required to be obtained under the agreement and plan of merger, dated as of august 1, 2012 (the “merger agreement”), by and among the company, at&t inc. and its direct wholly owned subsidiary, rodeo acquisition sub inc. (“merger sub”), pursuant to which the company will merge with and into merger sub with the company surviving as a direct or indirect wholly owned subsidiary of at&t inc.
