Neustar names seasoned telecom expert john a. devolites as vice
president of data services

(nyse:nsr), a trusted neutral provider of real-time information and analytics, today announced the appointment of john a. devolites as vice president of data services. mr. devolites brings to the position more than three decades of experience leading data analytics and telecom companies to achieve significant growth, and will oversee the product management teams responsible for neustar’s order management services (oms) and addressing and routing services, as well as support neustar’s information services and analytics strategy. he will also support neustar’s work in migrating the public switch telephone network (ptsn) to internet protocol (ip) networks. mr. devolites will report directly to svp data solutions steve edwards. “john has a proven track record of applying data analytics to complex carrier challenges and has a thorough understanding of the evolving landscape facing communications service providers,” said edwards. “he is known for his product development and leadership skills and for his expertise in data storage and advanced analytics, which will all be tremendous assets to neustar as we help our customers navigate the unprecedented change underway in the industry.” prior to joining neustar, mr. devolites served as general manager at teoco corporation, where he designed and led strategic growth efforts, successfully developed and launched new products, negotiated contracts with major carriers and managed international acquisitions. before that, he served as group president for telcordia technologies and served as their board member to the federal communications commission network reliability and interoperability council (nric). mr. devolites’ previous roles also include: ceo of ios2, global partner at andersen worldwide llp and senior positions with american management systems, alexander proudfoot plc and booz allen hamilton. mr. devolites is the author of four patents focused on cloud storage for wireless and broadband, intelligent data extraction, passive geo-location and telephone number mapping. he holds an mba in information systems management and a bachelor’s degree in information systems technology. about neustar neustar, inc.
