Lowe’s answers consumers’ cry: mobile app now available for android
Mooresville, n.c.--(business wire)--lowe’s popular home improvement app is now available for android devices. the app can be downloaded at google play, google's new online store for digital media. customers now may shop directly from the free app; access their mylowe’s account; locate stores and view how-to videos, inspirational galleries and product ratings. the android app includes the same functionality lowe’s offers to ios users. both the ios app and android app incorporate lowe’s integrated online tool, mylowe’s. mylowe’s features, such as purchase history and product lists, are integrated in the apps, allowing customers to easily manage their projects and their homes on the go. customers can access their mylowe’s accounts on their mobile device in-store, helping to streamline project management by allowing customers to access product lists, notes, stored room dimensions, and in-store and online purchase history. the app will also allow the phone to be used as a mylowe’s card in lieu of the physical card. “expanding our app availability to android users and integrating mylowe’s is part of empowering consumers with the ability to access information wherever and whenever they choose,” said gihad jawhar, vice president of lowes.com. “the walls of our stores have expanded as our customers turn to technology at every stage of their home improvement projects. enabling consumers to be inspired, conduct research, locate a store or complete a purchase are all ways we’re redefining the home improvement experience.” since its launch in october 2011, mylowe’s has garnered more than 5 million subscribers. about lowe’s with fiscal year 2011 sales of $50.2 billion, lowe’s companies, inc. is a fortune® 100 company that serves approximately 15 million customers a week at more than 1,745 home improvement stores in the united states, canada and mexico. founded in 1946 and based in mooresville, n.c., lowe’s is the second-largest home improvement retailer in the world. for more information, visit lowes.com.
