quarterly distribution of $0.335 per share
New york--(business wire)--goldman sachs mlp income opportunities fund (the “fund”) (nyse:gmz) is pleased to announce its quarterly distribution of $0.335 per common share, payable on the date noted below. this distribution represents an increase of 1.5% from the prior quarter’s distribution of $0.33 per share and an increase of 6.3% from the distribution for the quarter-ended february 28, 2014. the distribution schedule is as follows: it is currently anticipated that a portion of this distribution will be treated for tax purposes as a return of capital, however, the final characterization of such distribution will be made in early 2016 when the fund can determine its earnings and profits for the full year. the final tax status of the distribution may differ substantially from this preliminary information. goldman sachs mlp income opportunities fund goldman sachs mlp income opportunities fund is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company which began trading on the nyse on november 25, 2013. the fund invests primarily in master limited partnership (“mlp”) investments, a significant portion of which deliver midstream infrastructure to support growing hydrocarbon extraction. these include investments in pipeline operators, natural gas processors, natural gas liquids fractionators and storage facilities. the fund seeks a high level of total return with an emphasis on current distributions to shareholders. the fund is managed by goldman sachs asset management’s (gsam’s) energy & infrastructure team, which is among the industry’s largest mlp investment groups. about goldman sachs asset management, l.p. gsam is the asset management arm of the goldman sachs group, inc.
