Lisa thomas joins cowen’s equity research department as associate
director of research

(“cowen”) (nasdaq:cown) today announced that lisa thomas has joined cowen and company’s equity research department as a managing director and associate director of research. ms. thomas is based in new york and reports to robert fagin, cowen’s director of research. “i have known lisa for over a decade and have enormous respect for her talents and professionalism,” said mr. fagin. “i could not be more thrilled to have her on board to help drive our next wave of growth and innovation.” ms. thomas joins cowen from nomura securities, where she was associate director and coo of u.s. equity research. prior to that, she was assistant general counsel and then associate director of u.s. equity research at bank of america merrill lynch. ms. thomas began her career as an m&a and securities attorney at shearman & sterling llp and covington & burling llp. she completed her ba at mcgill university, where she also earned an ll.b.
