Cambria hotels, an upscale brand franchised by choice hotels international, inc. announced the opening of its third hotel in arizona: the cambria hotel downtown phoenix convention center. the seven-story, 127-room hotel joins two other cambria locations in the grand canyon state: cambria hotel phoenix chandler-fashion center and cambria hotel north scottsdale desert ridge. the new phoenix hotel is the latest in a long line of cambria hotel openings this year across the country, in which 10 hotels have opened their doors - together representing over 1,600 upscale rooms. the hotel is situated at 222 e. portland st. in downtown phoenix's arts and culture district, with easy access to the phoenix convention center, the children's museum of phoenix, the george washington carver museum and cultural center, sky harbor international airport and the arizona science center. major amusement parks including big surf waterpark, the legoland discovery center and castles n' coasters are also within short driving distance.
