A10 networks to participate in collaborative 5g cloud-native network live demonstration at kubecon + cloudnativecon 2019

A10 networks has announced its participation in the linux foundation’s end-to-end 5g cloud-native network proof of concept (poc). this represents the first public demonstration of a10’s carrier-class 5g container firewall, which is capable of delivering up to 180 gbps throughput, one of the fastest in the industry. the company’s products are operating in a live ecosystem environment delivering proven interoperability across the user plane, control plane and networking plane of this 5g sa and nsa distributed cloud network. the poc is a fully containerized, end-to-end 5g stand-alone (sa) and non-stand-alone (nsa) distributed cloud network. the infrastructure is a red hat openshift kubernetes environment, implemented on lenovo commercial off the shelf (cots) servers. a10’s container-based firewall and carrier-grade network address translation (cgnat) technologies are featured as part of the 5g cloud-native network proof of concept. a10 is focused on 5g security solutions with multiple proven tier-one 5g deployments that have required continued hyperscale, lower latency, agility, and advanced security. as 5g adoption increasingly requires multi-terabit performance on the gi-lan, the company continues to provide scale in both virtual network functions (vnfs) and physical network functions (pnfs), including scale-out agile deployments with containerized solutions for virtual mobile edge compute requirements.
